FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When is the best time to use the Living in the Spirit resources?
Since these resources are designed for all ages, you will want to select a time of week that works best for the children, teens, and adults in your own church. It's great as a churchwide series for Sunday school, midweek services, and small groups.
How many sessions are in Living in the Spirit?
Each age level has eight sessions, to coordinate with the chapters in Living in the Spirit by George O. Wood.
How long are the sessions?
Approximately one hour each. The Discussion Series sessions could be done in 45 minutes. The Teaching Series sessions could easily give one-and-a-half hours of material if the teacher uses everything. Or a class could spend two weeks covering each session if time is limited. Kids' Sessions could last longer if you wish to add worship, offering, and other regular children's church activities..
How many classes can I teach with this curriculum?
The leader notes and participant handouts are on the CD-ROMs, so you can use these for as many classes as you have. The only difficulty for multiple classes is the DVDs. The DVD is optional for the Discussion Series and Kids' Sessions, so multiple groups can still do this curriculum. The DVD is highly recommended for the Teaching Series, but multiple groups could start together in the sanctuary to watch the video and then break up into groups. Additional DVD sets are also available at www.gospelpublishing.com or by calling 1.800.641.4310.
What's included in the Living in the Spirit Kit?
You get a Teaching DVD & CD-ROM, Discussion DVD & CD-ROM, Kids' Sessions DVD & CD-ROM, and Living in the Spirit.
Does every student in the Teaching and Discussion Series need a copy of Living in the Spirit?
While this book is not required, these sessions will make participants hungry for a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit. Consider giving Teaching Series participants the Living in the Spirit books right away, but we found that Discussion Series participants enjoyed it more after they'd completed a few sessions.
